Rain is rare in California, but the stars couldn’t stop it from falling on Hollywood’s biggest night.

So, Billy Porter had to wrap up in a blanket after walking the Oscars red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The “Pose” star was spotted covering his custom couture ensemble – which was designed by Giles Deacon – with a gray fleece blanket.

“It’s raining in LA and it’s cold Betches!!!” Porter tweeted about his unplanned red-carpet accessory.

Of course, Porter made sure to show off his outfit in full when he took his turn on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in a bodice that was designed to appear as if it was covered in feathers.

The bodice was made of 24-carat gold, reminiscent of his standout 2019 Met Gala look.

The fashion icon also wore a ball gown-style skirt, covered in a graphic print of eagles and gold chains that looked straight out of a painting. Porter topped off his ensemble with metallic lace-up platform Jimmy Choo boots, which he wore over beige fishnet tights.

He sparkled with the help of a metallic gold clutch, Swarovski jewelry, and bedazzled glasses.

Porter has become a red-carpet favorite ever since he wowed with a hot-pink cape at the 2019 Golden Globes.

He told Insider that the cape was the "springboard and launching pad for a very spectacular year."

"The Golden Globes was the first really mainstream red carpet I had been to," he said. "I had gone to a lot of them in my life, but not on that level. Going in I had 'Pose' behind me, and just a reason to be there where people would actually be paying attention."

Porter has since worn everything from a Christian Siriano tuxedo ball gown at last year's Oscars to a shimmering jumpsuit with a motorized fringe hat at this year's Grammys.
